EYES
by
Nickolas F.
Eyes, the special kind
that say welcome to mine.
Eyes green cool and limpid
or with envy.
Eyes that see right through me.
Lovingly guiding
Eyes below arched brows,
Eyes of a sixth grade teacher.
A child¹s eyes filled with admiration
looking up
at eyes of common virtue
Eyes that reject hate without hating.
Eyes that squint with mistrust.
Eyes that misgauge
yet avoid those
Eyes of road rage.
Eyes ‹ the window to the soul
as they press tightly shut
hiding behind prayer.
And then those special shifty eyes
the kind that look you straight in the eye.

Nice Poem. I like how the poem flows through. This would express how feel at times when I'm down.
